Radio Programs in Dari and Pashto

Six radio programs have been created to date in Dari and in Pashto. Each program begins by introducing a Hoopoe story and mentioning that it comes from Afghanistan’s rich and ancient storytelling tradition. Then the story is read aloud, followed by a few comments on it. The program ends with an invitation to listeners – particularly the elders – to help reinvigorate this worthwhile tradition by telling the stories they remember from their childhood to their children and grandchildren.
